Job Title: Employability Tutor/Trainer (Short Courses)

Location: East Midlands – Centre based
 
Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Duties:

• Prepare, deliver and coach unemployed learners through a range of pre-employment short courses within a classroom setting.
• Provide engaging and exciting training sessions to inspire and motivate learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Provide 1:1 coaching to learners in relation to their employability needs.
• Plan delivery and assessment through schemes of work and lesson planning.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
• As part of the delivery, you will be required to assist clients with CV writing, job search, interview techniques, confidence building and deliver advice and guidance to enable clients to make informed decisions about their future goals.
• Liaise with the Engagement team to match learners to suitable vacancies/placements,
• Candidates must be flexible to pick up other duties as and when required to assist the team overall.

Essential Criteria:

• Ideally hold a recognised teaching qualification (PTLLS / PGCE or above / equivalent).

• Must have experience of delivering to groups of learners.   

• Experience of working within any of the following sectors would be highly desirable – though not essential: Health and Social Care; Hospitality; Warehousing; Customer Service.  

• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients towards securing employment.

• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
• Full, clean, UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel.
