Job Title: ESOL Tutor

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 + Benefits

Type: Full Time / Permanent

Duties:

• Delivering ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) training to learners via a blended learning approach (classroom and remote). 
• You will carry out initial assessments, prepare schemes of work / session plans, deliver learning and ensure learners are supported towards achievement of regulated and non regulated training and qualifications.
• Identify learner’s strengths and weakness’ through initial assessment and support them accordingly.
• Set and review targets.
• Provide progress feedback to learners and provide support to ensure they meet their set goal / target.
• Ensure each learner’s progression is recorded efficiently.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold either a recognised Teaching Qualification (PTLLS or above / equivalent) OR Assessor Award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA). 
• Experience of delivering ESOL / Functional Skills to groups of learners
• Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics and English or equivalent 
• Must be flexible with travel.

• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, tailoring training sessions to meet the learner’s needs.
• Excellent organisation skills.
