Job Title: Senior Functional Skills Tutor

Location: York – Centre based

Salary: up to £33,500 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

KM Recruitment are seeking an experienced Functional Skills Tutor, to lead on the delivery of Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT qualifications. 

This is an exciting new opportunity and will combine leadership with teaching, ensuring high quality instruction and support for learners and offering robust support for your delivery team.

Role duties;

• Develop and coach a team of Functional Skills Tutors, conducting regular 1:1s and observations to ensure continuous improvement within their delivery. 
• Demonstrate best teaching practice to your team by delivering English, Maths, and ICT Functional Skills sessions to small groups of learners, focus on showcasing planning, engagement, differentiation, assessment, and reflection.
• To identify any additional training or support needs within your team, to ensure that a high-quality learning experience is provided for all learners.

Essential Criteria:

• Must be an experienced Functional Skills Tutor, with demonstrable leadership skills (supporting / coaching other Tutors)
• Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Must hold a minimum of a Level 2 in Maths and English. 
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
