Job Title: SIA / Security Tutor

Location: Lancashire 
 
Salary: £30,000

Type: Full Time, Permanent
   
Criteria:

• Must hold either a recognised Teaching qualification OR Assessor award.
• Must hold a valid SIA licence and evidence of refresher training.
• Must have excellent IT Skills – with the ability to utilise teams for learner sessions / meetings, along with experience of using Microsoft Office
• Must possess a sound knowledge of SIA regulations and industry standards.
• Ideally have experience of coaching/training or mentoring Security Professionals.
• Must be happy to complete necessary administrative tasks as required for the role.

Duties include:

• Teach/assess learners in a classroom-based environment, who are working towards SIA approved training courses.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Keep abreast of changes within SIA regulations and industry best practice.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

• Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
• Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
