Job Title: Functional Skills Manager

Location: Home/Field based – Must be flexible with travel

Salary: £37,500 (Inclusive of car allowance)
 
Type: Full Time, Permanent

Role duties;

• Develop and implement innovative Curriculum across our client’s Functional Skills provision. 
• Lead on quality assurance and improvement, to develop and encourage Tutor’s to raise standards of their delivery.
• Work closely with the Quality Manager and Head of Apprenticeships to review and update internal policies and procedures, ensuring awarding organisation requirements are met.
• Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across Functional Skills through conducting face-to-face and online observations, evaluating the effectiveness of delivery, and adapt if needed. 
• Produce monthly reports based on timely completion of Functional Skills elements; action plan completions and any development opportunities identified through observations and sampling.  

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Maths and English. 
• Must hold either a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA, TAQA) or Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET). 
• Ideally hold a recognised IQA qualification. 
• Must hold strong expertise within Functional Skills Maths and English.
• Experience of Curriculum development/management, ensuring that quality systems and processes are in place to maximise learner outcomes.
• Experience of team management.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
