KM Recruitment was established by Kate Massey-Shore and Kelly Massey-Nicklin in 2011, following 7 years prior experience as hands on recruiters for the training industry. Many have claimed to be the first – but we have been recruiting for the Skills and Employability sectors since 2004!

KM are delighted to have reached our 12 year milestone as specialist recruiters for the training industry. We have built and continue to develop a strong reputation for quality, excellent knowledge of the sector and accuracy for placing candidates/filling roles.

Our company ethos of “quality over quantity” combined with our recruitment teams’ unique consultative approach, ensures a personal, honest and professional recruitment service is consistently upheld. Our coverage is UK wide and we recruit for all roles relating to the Skills and Employability Sectors.

Kate Massey-Shore – Director

(over 17 years recruitment expertise in the training sector)

Kate and Kelly established KM in January 2011, following several years previous experience of recruiting for the training / education sectors. Kate is a true testament to the Apprenticeship journey, having won Apprentice of the year in 2006, and going on to build a successful recruitment business of her own.

Kate is an excellent recruiter at heart. She has the ability to understand and really get under the skin of what her candidates and clients’ needs are. Kate has built many valued long-term relationships and has earned trust and respect for her proven recruitment expertise, sound judgement and advice.

Outside of KM, Kate enjoys family days out/in with her Hubby and 2 Boys, and taking care of their mini zoo of rescue Bunnies and Turtles! Kate has a real passion for animals and has been volunteering on and off since 2013 for The British Wildlife Rescue Centre, for which she has now been appointed Trustee.

  • Name something on your bucket list? To take our boys to our honeymoon destination Kauai in Hawaii, to swim with the Turtles.

Kelly Massey-Nicklin

Kelly Massey-Nicklin – Director

Kelly also has first-hand experience of being an Apprentice… although many years ago! Starting her career on a YTS (Youth Training Scheme) in Retail with the Arcadia Group, Kelly completed her training and enjoyed a successful retail career working her way up the ladder to Retail Management.

Following this earlier career in Retail, Kelly found a new calling in recruitment. Having recruited for several years for the training/education sectors, Kelly established KM with her Sister, Kate.

Kelly is a natural recruiter who uses a friendly and consultative approach to build trusted relationships with both candidates and clients. Kelly has experience of placing all level of roles UK wide and is easily able to adapt to meet the needs and challenges each one requires.

Outside of KM, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children for walks and family days out. She also enjoys baking and makes a pretty delicious carrot cake!

  • Name something on your bucket list? I have a list of places that I would love to visit such as; Canada, Australia and America – it would be pretty cool to have the opportunity to be space tourist too!

Tia Martin – Senior

Tia is no stranger to the Apprentice journey with her earlier career starting as an Apprentice Recruitment Resourcer for the training / education sectors in 2007. Tia gained invaluable experience in the mechanics of recruitment starting off as a CV Resourcer, progressing to oversee all vacancy advertising uk wide and then a 360 Recruitment Consultant.

Tia joined KM when it established in 2011 and is our Senior Recruiter and Mentor to staff. Tia is a valued member of the team who is easily able to jump into whatever role is required whether that be advertising, sales or recruitment!

Tia has many years of expertise in recruiting nationally for all level of roles and is considered a valued extension to our client’s own HR departments. Our clients and candidates can rest assured that Tia will always deliver an honest and professional service and go the extra mile to ensure all are happy.

Outside of KM, Tia enjoys spending time with her partner and 2 boys who love going for walks and days out – and is busy planning her Wedding for 2023!!

Rebekka Flint (Becky)

Rebekka Flint (Becky)

Rebekka joined KM in January 2018 after working as a Recruitment Resourcer within the financial services industry. Rebekka was already established in identifying suitable candidates utilising various mediums such as social media and job boards when she came on board. This was something she was able to build on with KM and initially started off Resourcing whilst learning all about our industry – which she got stuck into and picked up really quickly!

Rebekka is very efficient at juggling multiple tasks simultaneously – which is definitely an essential skill in recruitment! She currently recruits UK wide with KM for a wide variety of roles and is also responsible for advertising across our many platforms to attract candidates. Rebekka is already creating her own relationships which and with her approachable and friendly personality we know which helps her to instantly which has helped her to develop good relationships with our clients.

Rebekka has also previously been an Apprentice, which has provided her with a greater understanding for the industry in which we recruit.

Outside of KM, Rebekka enjoys spending time with her partner, friends and family. Rebekka also enjoys travelling around Europe and road trips in the UK – she is looking to finally being able to go on holiday again in 2022!

Isabelle Rogers

Our newest recruit Isabelle joined the team in November 2022, after spending several years providing an outstanding level of customer service within the energy and retail sectors.

Isabelle has a real passion for helping people, and along with her excellent communication skills and ability to adapt quickly, she decided a new career in recruitment was her next step.

Isabelle has taken to recruitment like a duck to water, and is already screening and submitting candidates to exciting opportunities within the training sector.

And to further develop the skills needed, Isabelle is now also working towards a Recruitment Apprenticeship – exciting times!

Outside of KM, Isabelle enjoys spending time with friends and family. Isabelle actively enjoys playing video/table top games in her spare time as well as creating art pieces for her friends.
