Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor (Temporary / Evenings)

Location: Sittingbourne 

(Delivery on a Tuesday and Thursday; 8am-10pm)

Hourly rate: £25 per hour

Duties:

• Deliver Entry Level Functional Skills Maths and English to groups of circa 20 unemployed learners,
• Identify and provide additional learning support to learners with identified learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Design and deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2.  
• Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above. 
• Must hold own Functional Skills in Maths and English / GCSE equivalents.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• The successful candidate must be engaging, and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate and teach learners.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
