Job Title: Residential Childcare Trainer Assessor (Trainee or Qualified)

Location: Home/Field based – Must be flexible with travel across South Powys and surrounding areas

Salary: £25,300 – £29,500

Essential Criteria:

• Ideally hold Assessors award. 
• Hold occupational competency of working in a Residential Childcare setting (at any level)
• Must hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Residential Childcare/Children & Young People.
• Confident to support learners with Essential Skills (Literacy and Numeracy). 
• Must have a good level of ICT skills
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel. 

Duties include:

• Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare up to Level 5, as well as Essential Skills in Literacy and Numeracy,
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
• Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
