Assessor – Childcare and Teaching Assistant Full Time Permanent

Job Title: Assessor – Childcare and Teaching Assistant 

Location: West Yorkshire 

Salary/Package: £25,000 + Excellent Benefits Package, Pension, Mileage + more!

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Criteria for all candidates:

• Hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 – PTLLS / AET (or equivalent)
• Hold a level 3 vocational qualification in STLS or Childcare
• Hold or willingness to work towards Assessor Award
• At least 2-3 years experience of delivering Childcare/Playwork and STLS training (apprenticeships or equivalent)
• Experience of delivering in a classroom based setting, and on a 1-1 basis.
• Experience of working with e-portfolio systems would be an advantage
• Confident to support learners with Maths and English Functional Skills.
• Confident to support learners online via online Teams meetings and telephone – face to face.
• Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Flexibility is required with working hours and travel, as and when required to meet learners needs.

Duties include:

• Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeship Standards in Childcare / Playwork and STLS to level 3.
• Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2.
• Delivering via a blended learning approach (Microsoft Teams and face-to-face – group and 1-1).
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely assessments and reviews are conducted.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
• Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely assessments / visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
• Work to learner review and completion timescales.
