Job Title: Childcare Assessor
Location: West Midlands – Home/Field based
Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 (Depending on experience)
Type: Full time, Permanent
Essential Criteria:
- The successful candidate will be a qualified Assessor holding any of the following awards; D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
- Ideally have experience of assessing Childcare Apprenticeships to Level 3, although this is not essential as our client can upskill.
- Must hold solid occupational competency within Childcare at Room Leader/ Supervisor level or above.
- Must hold own Level 3 in Childcare.
- Full, clean, UK driving licence and use of a vehicle.
- Must be flexible with travel.
Duties include:
- Assess and deliver full Apprenticeships in Childcare (New Standards) Levels 2 and 3.
- Deliver / support learners with Functional Skills (Maths / English) to level 2.
- Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeships.
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
- Assessors will be required to actively recruit and sign-up learners to grow and maintain own caseload through marketing and sales activities.
Personal Skills:
- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
