Job Title: Head of Finance

Location: Carlisle
 
Salary: up to £45,000

Type: Full time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent
• Qualified and experienced accountant with extensive understanding of accounting and experience of managing a finance team
• Proven experience of preparing and overseeing forecasts and budgets
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with ability to understand complex data
• Able to show continued professional and managerial development

Duties:

• Working as the Head of Finance, within an education establishment.
• Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the leadership of finances together with providing effective planning, budgeting, and monitoring and producing timely and accurate financial information.
• Responsible for the leadership of a small team of staff.
• Provide accurate financial data together with monthly, termly, and annual income and expenditure reports.
• Support staff who are non-financial with their understanding of financial data – putting into place any identified actions where necessary.
