On the 5th March 2018, the eleventh annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) was launched, NAW is taking place from the 5th March to 9th March 2018 with hundreds of events taking place across the country.

This year’s theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2018 is “Apprenticeships Work” which will highlight how Apprenticeships work for individuals, employers and the country.

At KM Education Recruitment we see daily that #ApprenticeshipsWork for thousands of people every year, as we recruit specifically for the Work Based Learning sector – the rise in opportunities for Apprenticeship Assessors in various vocations shows that Apprenticeships are becoming the preferred option for employers training their staff.

Benefits of hiring an Apprentice for your business

Hiring Apprentices is an effective way for any business to grow by developing new / fresh talent and training them up to suit individual business needs.

According to GOV.uk employers who have an established apprenticeship programme reported that productivity in their workplace had improved by 76% whilst 75% reported that apprenticeships improved the quality of their product or service.

Apprenticeship Training – Workforce Development

Investing in staff training and development is vitally important for any business – staff who are invested in will become a more positive workforce, and in turn supports business growth, productivity and also contributes towards employee / employer satisfaction in the role.

Employee’s benefit from receiving nationally recognised qualifications, potentially internal / or external progression, reduced staff turnover and reducing recruitment costs.

Our Experience of Apprenticeships at KM Recruitment

All members of the KM team have completed an Apprenticeship / QCF Diploma over their career such as Business Administration, Employment Related Services (ERS/Recruitment) and Digital Marketing which has allowed us to progress and work effectively within our specific job roles.

Our colleague Becky Baillie joined us as an Apprentice at 16 straight from school, initially as an Administrator / Resourcer supporting the Recruiters before quickly progressing to become a Specialist Recruitment Consultant, recruiting nationally for large national Training Organisations, leading with quality and professionalism.

We will continue to support our team with their development whether it be further / higher Apprenticeships because #ApprenticeshipsWork
