10th Annual National Apprenticeship Week announced
The National Apprenticeship Service has announced today (19/09/2016) the dates for the 10th annual National Apprenticeship Week for 2017.
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) will take place from the 6th to the 10th March 2017, NAW2017 will bring together Apprentices, Employers and Training providers across the country to celebrate the success and growth of Apprenticeships over the last 10 years.
NAW was designed to promote the benefits and impact Apprenticeships have had on Apprentices, Employers and the UK economy – NAW gives an opportunity for Apprentices, Employers and Training Providers to encourage even more people to go down the Apprenticeships route rather than Higher Education Universities.
The Apprenticeships and Skills Minister, Robert Halfon said;
“National Apprenticeship Week is about celebrating the best in apprenticeships and traineeships. The week highlights the vital role apprenticeships and traineeships play in giving people from all backgrounds a ladder of opportunity.”
Sue Husband, Director of the National Apprenticeship Service also commented;
“National Apprenticeship Week 2017 will be no different as it will raise awareness that the time is right for potential apprentices to get the skills they need for a great job, and for businesses, how they can grow their own talent whilst developing the motivated, skilled and qualified workforce they need.”
Further information about NAW2017 will be released in the coming weeks with details of Events taking place, Themes of the week and how to get involved!
