Public Sector set to recruit 200,000 Apprentices by 2020
On the 20th January 2017, Skills Minister Robert Halfon has pledged a target to recruit 200,000 more Apprentices in the public sector. This announcement with create thousands of high quality Apprenticeship opportunities within the public sector and will give more young people a chance to develop their career within the Government, the NHS or even the Police force.
Skills Minister, Robert Halfron said:
“We are committed to breaking down barriers and creating a ladder of opportunity for people everywhere. For our public sector to be the very best in the world, we need talented and ambitious people of all ages and from every background.”
The Skills Ministers announcement strives towards the government’s target of delivering over 3 million high quality Apprenticeships by 2020.
